One of the more disappointing aspects of Square is their limited hours offered for customer service help. Their phone lines are open Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm EST, and they also offer an automated chat online. They supplement this lapse through an extensive trouble shooting resource online, but we at iDeal Comparison wish they provided more personal support. They also do not seem to have dedicated representatives, which many other payment processors provide.
Square is PCI compliant, EMV compliant and provides accessible customer service to the merchants it supports. Square ensures the safety and security of the transactions made by monitoring transactions using fraud detection software. The dependence on WiFi and Bluetooth makes their systems susceptible to hacking, but this can be protected against with a VPN.
